Final Reflection

Keepers of the Earth by Machael Caduto and Joseph Bruchac, Foreword by N. Scott Momaday Illus. John Kahionhes & Carol Wood
This is a great book on a collection of variose tribes stories. It has activities for the children to try. I used the Zuni story about the Twin Heros and the giant Swollower of Clouds for my story telling.

ISHI Last of his tribe by Theodora Kroeber
I did not get to finish this book but as far as I got it was good so I plan on checking it out at the library to finish it.

The Three Little Sheep- Dibe Yazhi Taa'go Baa Hane' by Seraphine G. Yazzie
The story was adapted from the three little pigs. I thought it was good because it made the story into a Navajo version. The only thing is that a couple of the images did not callaborate with the resources in this area.

Custer and Crazy Horse by Jim Razzi
A biography of both Custer and Crazy Horse. It explains both point of views and why they were heroes to their people.

At The Hems of the Lowest Clounds by Gloria J. Emerson foreword by N. Scott Momaday
It is a collection of Gloria Emerson poems, reflection and paintings. I like that the places she wrote about are familiar to me. I like The Chronicles of Shiprock Fair and Table Mesa but they are all good.

How the Rattlesnake Got Its Rattle retold by Jeffrey Stoodt Illus. Anthony Chee Emerson
It is a story of how the snack got his rattle. He used to be afriad, made fun of and excluded out of activites but after he got his rattle he became popular.
